500 GSM Hotel/Institutional Towels, thicker, softer, extremely durable & long lasting 
Made from the finest cotton using the ring spun spinning process, these institutional towels are extremely durable, long lasting and soft for your skin. To distinguish the towels from the various sizes, the towels have a distinct header bar design on both ends. Hand towels have one bar, Bath towels have two bars and Bath sheets have three bars. On a towel rail with the towels lined up next to each other with their distinctive bar design they look elegant and luxurious.

Ring spun spinning method for durable and soft towels
Our institutional towels are manufactured using the ring spun process. The ring spun process uses a combing machine (which is not the case in open end) which paralyses the fibres, removing shorter and weaker lengths. This creates a more uniform yarn. These yarns are then blended at the carded sliver stage and are twisted in a helix (S or Z direction) to create cohesion and strength. There are up to 20 turns in each inch of ring spun yarn. The open end process avoids these important and costly procedures which is why we use ring spun cotton as opposed to open end.

What is GSM (Grams per Square Metre)?
GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter and is essentially the weight/density of the towel. A higher GSM rating of around 500 to 600gsm indicates a more thicker, dense towel which will be more durable and longer lasting than a towel with a lower GSM rating. It's usually tempting for institutions to consider getting cheaper, alternative towels with a lower GSM rating but it's not cost effective to do so in the long run. The towels will end up thinning and losing their density as they are being washed over and over again. After all, your guests are the most important people when it comes to towels. They will expect thick, sumptuous towels even though they are subjected to being washed repeatedly. That's why we recommend the higher GSM towels so you don't end up having to change them after a few washes as our towels will remain thick and fluffy.

Washing Instructions for Towels

To keep your towels soft and absorbent, follow these washing instructions:

1. Wash with Similar Colours: Use warm water and avoid washing with garments that may cause lint or colour bleeding.
2. Use Gentle Detergent: Opt for a mild detergent and avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can affect the towel's softness.
3. Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting or air dry to maintain the towel's texture. Avoid over-drying, which can make towels stiff.
