I've never had one of these before so this was a trial on my part and now I'll never have anything else!
The hardest part was removing the old valance sheet as it meant removing the (king size) mattress on my own, but plain sailing from then on!

What's a Valance sheet?
Valance sheets are placed over your mattress just like a fitted sheet but instead of simply covering the mattress, they drop all the way down to the floor therefore, covering the base of the bed. The valance sheet covers 8 inches of the mattress and 14 inches of frill covers the base of the bed.
