Finding good quality, cream valance sheets to cover the bases of two single beds was proving impossible in East Devon so I turned to the internet and luckily found the Towel Shop which supplied exactly what I was looking for at a surprisingly low price. They were delivered within a few days.

What's a Base Valance?
Base valance sheet goes under the mattress and hangs down to cover the base of the bed to give it an elegant look. The drop of the base valance to the floor is between 12 and 14 inches.
